Welcome to the Student Activities & Resource Fee (SARF) structural feedback form. SARF is a semesterly fee that PLU students pay as part of the fees of the University, as voted in by the student body during the 2017-2018 school year, as presented by the Associated Students of PLU Senate.

If you have any questions or concerns about this form, please email ASPLU Finance Director AJ Moore at mooreaj@plu.edu.

As the voice of the Student Body at PLU, ASPLU serves as the proxy to the establishment of the Student Activities & Resource Fund. In ASPLU our focus in finances is to have ethical practices that respect both the interest of the student body and the integrity of ASPLU as an organization. Our promise to the PLU campus is to seriously evaluate any project on campus in partnership and sponsorship. This is demonstrated through our extensive list of sponsorship across campus for activities and resources.Through SARF, a student managed system, we hope to engage with more students on campus to lead lives of leadership and service, exploration, innovation, through their journey at PLU.

SARF is an attempt at the development of both large and small scale programming and activities across campus, funded by and for students. The current planning committee consists of representatives from Campus  Life, ASPLU, Athletics, Student Media, and RHA, including staff and student representation. Through an established and trusted system, we talk in dialogue to bring new ideas to fill the gaps of need around  campus. With integrity and mindfulness we hope to engage in transformative action in alignment with our values.

During  the 10/23/2020 meeting of the Student Activities and Resource Fee Planning group, a potential way to structure the fund was suggested by Tom Huelsbeck, Associate Vice-President for Campus Life, and Kassi  McNeilly, Student Engagement Coordinator.

This proposal is detailed here.
